This was certainly one of my favorite days out photographing. So much to see, smell, feel. Hundreds of scenes naturally framed out for me. A wonderful experience of pines folklife. I'll never forget it. I hope you enjoy these shots from the day.

Bachman,

You had a few bad links that I fixed where the first two photo's were not showing. So if anyone has already viewed his photo's you may want to go back and look at the first two. I really like the first one.

Thanks!

Guy,

Thanks for the fix! They were showing up fine over here for some odd reason.

Thanks for the compliments all! A note on the spiders... I've never seen anything like it. When they flooded the bogs, it must have flushed all the spiders out. Literally hundreds of thousands of spiders were marching out of the bogs. Arachnophobists nightmare to the extreme!

And please, call me Chase. Bachman's Ivory is just a name I made up. It consists of two supposedly extinct American birds. The Ivory-Billed Woodpecker, and the Bachman's Warbler.

Chase,

It may have been a Safari thing since that was the browser I was using. All I saw were two blue squares. If you want us to know you as Chase you may want to do as I do and put your name after every post for a while.
