On Saturday, 21 June 2006, 18 members of the Stay Focused Photo Club (stayfocusedphotoclub.com) gathered equipment and bodies into a dozen or so vehicles. With Family Service Radios, we had us a convoy in and around Lake Oswego, Penn State Forest, Greenwood Forest WMA, Warren Grove and points inbetween. (The comments on the radio were a hoot.) Dinner was served at Allen's Clam Bar in New Gretna.
Good weather, just shy of 90F, with a breeze and no bugs made for a great day-and-evening trip. I left at 8:30 am and got home around 11 pm. A few pictures are uploaded under my user name of Baudwalk and the date of the tripl
At night a caller was used. Not only did Pine Barrens Treefrogs answer, but Carpenter Frogs -- sounding like nails hammered into wood -- called. A whippoorwill sang out, overhead, in the darkening trees, and stars and planets were bright. I could see the distorted shape of Jupiter, no doubt caused by its moons, in the wonderfully dark sky.
Enjoy.
