Just thought I would pass this along. A friend of mine who grew up with me now teaches in Huntersville, NC. He said he was talking to an art teacher who saves National Geographics because they provide great pics for kids to paint and such. He was looking through them and what do you know, he ran across one from January 1974 in pristine condition. After reading the article about the Pine Barrens he asked the teacher if he could have it and explained to him about the history the area. He knew I would love it since I did not have the magazine. A couple days later I received a package with that very NG inside. It is something I have always wanted and this one is in great shape. I thought this was really cool and even more so because someone who lives 700 miles from me remembered how much I would like this. It's nice to have such good friends.

He is a great friend indeed! And I would suggest that if you have not told him that, now is the perfect opportunity to do so. Kudos to them!
