The pesticide will be applied in a mist form by a truck-mounted sprayer. Residents are encouraged to stay indoors during the spraying of pesticides.

I remember the mosquito trucks driving up and down the streets here in Hamilton and the train of kids on bikes riding through the fog.

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where the summers are unbearably hot and humid and the mosquitoes are terrible. We had those trucks cruising the neighborhood constantly. When you heard it coming, you ran right out to your bike and joined the pack. We loved that kerosene smell! It was best if you could get right behind the truck and completely vanish into the fog.

My parents thought it was a riot. This was during the late 1950's, those were the days. It's amazing I'm still alive. :D

Haha, I had forgotten about that, I had one too! When I was about 10 maybe, my father said mowing the lawn was going to be my chore and got a beat up old reel-type lawnmower. We tore the engine down and rebuilt it - he said that every boy should know how to do that (he was an engineer). So that mower was my baby. Later we mounted a tank with a hose connected to a special muffler. Would fill the tank with mineral oil that had insecticide in it, then open the valve and fog the yard.
