Odd. With exception of some of the obvious trespasses, it is harmless enough. Interesting the Zeppelin thing. Kinda like it.
What I do not like is the bad attention drawn to the area. Look at the replies/comments. Just what we need. More ill informed people to stumble around recklessly in the pines to "Record S**t".

You know what is sad?
Its sad that we have almost a complete town sitting there going to rot and within a few more years it will be just assorted piles of rubble.
That slide show shows a lot of half-assed, unfinished repairs and band aids that will never be completed.
This state blows.
With the highest taxes in the nation you would think we could muster enough money to restore an historic resource like that.
Oh well, I would be happy to see trash cans back in the state parks again so I don't have to look at the results of "pack in-pack out".

i always wondered what it looked like inside those buildings, but those two words,no trespassing, which was taught to all of us by our parents, mean no trespassing,on fixing the place up,maybe a senator or congressman could get involved before atsion turns into another harrisville.with the 7% sales tax i think trenton can afford to put trash cans back to where they used to be.

I actually was at Atsion killing a couple hours on Saturday with the kids, giving my wife a little free time. I am as bothered by the decay rate but the trash is appalling, especially that of which I think has something to do with that Gun club. We walked off the cemetary which is always kept clean, and the tracks / trestle for awhile. I thought about it this year but next, one of my pick up focuses will be there. I don't get how it was looked over.
I still stand by an opinion on a former thread that any Hall of Fame or Pines related memorial and museum would be greatly suited to Atsion and a great project starter for restoration! There really is still time to preserve what's there and enough old info, pics, etc. to recreate a great deal of what's gone. Just my thoughts.

Well, I give those kids credit for realizing there was a war, who was fighting, and what the difference is between a tory and a patriot. They also apparantly realized that Batsto played a part in the victory (or at least in the time period and setting). And they recognized the tensions between both, right down to the local level.

Kudos to them.

You deserve a medal for actually paying attention to what they were saying.
I squashed it about 4 seconds into the video.
You are far more patient than I.

As far as giving them credit for historical value bobpbx may be correct, or just reading into it too much. I still feel dumber for having watched the entire video.
