As an history teacher, I'm fascinated by these colorized, voiceover-dubbed films from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I find WWI as one of our most important modern events in human history, so when the movie "They Shall Not Grow Old" (which had these effects) arrived in selected theaters, I made sure I attended. YouTube suggested this attached clip to me and I thought I'd share. At around 0:57 seconds, there is a brief 15 second clip of young people in 1927 in Atlantic City. The rest of the video is fascinating as well.
