I just recently got two very old postcards of Allaire. One is from 1909 and shows the furnace. The other is undated, but appears to be of similar vintage, and shows a ruins. I scanned them and uploaded them tonight. Right now they are on the first page of my album, since I have been unsuccessful at moving them
To me, these are the coolest old Allaire postcards I have gotten so far.
Ben, or anyone, can you identify the ruins, from having visited there? Have they been restored? removed?
Thanks,
Barry

Barry,

The other building with the arches is the coal depot. Unfortunately it didn't weather the 20th Century well, and there is very little left. Basically there is just one corner left, covered with a small roof.

Here's what it looked like back in 1998:

Sorry it's from so far away - it's not really interesting up close.
