Forked River
As a kid growing up in Forked River, I heard people talk about how the military stored ammunition in the pines. People talked about bunkers and buildings. I heard they were near the railroad bed. Not too long ago they burned the area between the mountain and the railroad bed. There are now 3 foundations which are all about the same size and spaced apart. I always knew the one at the intersection was there, but not about the other 2. I also remember a raised rusted platform next to the railroad in this section. If not the depot then what were the buildings and platform for. I checked the forums and Ben briefly mentioned going to visit it. The platform is no longer there.

I was there with Ben and Bob. I have to find my photos. Bob said there was another one much further back but when we went there together we did not find it. Maybe he can respond.

Pines; Bamber area
I do recall finding a small concrete pad somewhere in this area, but it was 25 years ago. Never could find it again.
