Great day for you. I love that Green Heron. I saw a Black Crested Night Heron once on LBI... no camera on hand.
The frog is a northern cricket frog, acris crepitans. A common but declining species in the Northeast.
All this in one day! Amazing . . . and each photo has its particular charm. Killdeer chicks! Green Herons! Osprey-on-nest! I've never seen a Semipalmated Plover and they're plenty cute. Is there a Fullypalmated Plover? What does he have more of?
