We passed by one of the Hanover Furnace property corners that has the sandstone and the state concrete monument. We were there 20 years ago in August so I took this today.

Not the same one though. I never saw the one that was stolen but I acquired a photo from a state employee who had taken one of it. Actually, it was a surveyor not a state employee. The state employee offered me the chance to come see the photos he had but I never did get there. Later, I learned he had passed away.
When I first learned of it someone had taken a shovel and removed it. I could still see the shovel mark so it was not too long before I got there it was stolen. Maybe a year at the most or so.
