Any Adirondacks visitors?

I'll be packing up the Mazda this weekend and heading up to the Adirondacks for five days. This'll be my first time thereabouts, so I'm curious if anyone has been up that way and, if so, can recommend any points of interest. I'll be taking my wife and sons, so hikes on the extremely rigorous side are probably not what I'm looking for, otherwise we're game -- also, any cool lodging recommendations would be appreciated as well. I've got some literature on the area -- but word-of-mouth suggestions are often the best. Thanks in advance.

We camped at Lewey Lake, and my campsite there was probably my favorite ever.
Depending on where you're going, I recommend looking up the ghost town of Tahawus (aka Adirondak).

That is a nice area. I camped at Lewey also and thought the site was great also. I was there in August a few rears ago it it was not crowded although we camped on the other side of the road from th lake.
