Attaching a photo to a post

Hi: Is there someone who could run though the steps on attaching a photo to a post? I saw the post on FAQ but I couldn't get it to work for me. Thanks for your help.

Just click upload file, pick which file you want and post

If your photo is on a hosted site, then when you are putting the post together, look along the bottom line of figures above the posting area. You will see a figure of a small tree, click on that and copy the URL of your picture into the box that appears.
