For anyone that has been walking thru the "fire trails" on dover rd., particularly the immediate one southbound on dover rd., right after the paved bus turn around?
...if so, have you ever stumbled upon the concrete foundation located off the trail (approx. right at the second bend off into the woods)..

I always wondered if anyone knew any history of the little place.. appeared to be a fire, but there is still mattress springs, an old green melted bike and alot of rubble.... so if you've been there or know any information, would love to hear it


(a newbie to this site, stumbled across it tonight... will have to venture out there soon to take pix, havent been out exploring in a few years)

KeroseneCity, you'll come to find out this "old" man and many "old" men on this site are visual people. We love maps, we love arial photos, and we love looking at the pines. It would be best if you could pinpoint it on a map, or google, or topozone and link us to it. Does not have to be the exact spot, just close enough.

I looked at google earth, and I don't know how to take a "snapshot" of the area...but here are the directions.... not sure which turn its at, so i narrowed it down to two "foundation" lat=39.9119277778, lon=-74.3026751479

and "foundation 2" lat=39.9126361111, lon=-74.3041277778

Im probably going to take a trip out there today, so I will take pictures....but looking from the picture gallery on this site, im guessing it was a gun club now

That was where the orchard was for Cedar Crest Farm. Bobpbx has posted old photo’s(drawing) of that area before. I just checked his posts and the links no longer work. But you can just about see that location in them.
