Bill and I were there about november,and Sophie too.was checking it out for possible canoeing but many lift overs in there,would have to be cleared to make a trip worth it.He posted the pics I believe in Tuesday with Alfie.You were definitely in the same area.I even found a couple stones that day,Bill nor Sophie were impressed.

I have been threatening to Kayak that for many years. I even walked the west side many times. I've paddled alot worse. Here's the putin at Hampton Gate.

I was walking the east bank.I say it's doable and if the water was up most of the liftoversI seen could have been floated over.The water when i was there was about what it is in the pics.

Yes, correct. There are a lot of nice spots north of Hampton furnace.

I have paddled skit from carranza rd down to the Batsto and I have put in at the highest sand road crossing of the batsto south of carranza but was led to believe any higher was not canoeable.After walking it I'd say it is canoeable with high water as long as lift overs don't get you down.
