Bumping this. Took my daughter to visit Batsto today. Best part was she was taking pictures of the Mansion, grist mill, dam and sawmill. Much better than "ah, whatever, can we go home now?"
Was the forge and furnace on the same plot of land as the village today?

Definitely making a trip back this winter.

Also-how well maintained is the Washington Turnpike? I drive a Passat, I've always been interested in going up to the ghost town of Washington. Just because it was there.

The turnpike is in good shape except there are some spots where the dirt they placed is holding water and it is muddy.

The forge is out in the woods behind the Pleasant Mills church. Not so easy to get to.
