As mentioned in the previous thread, the Batsto Halloween thing is tomorrow. I was wondering if anybody had experience with it? I am probably going to take my 3 year old there and wanted to know what to expect. There is almost no information online about it except the time.

Thanks,
Jeff

The Batsto "Haunting in the Pines" is for children 12 and under accompanied by a parent/guardian. It is held in the lower village. Registration table will be across the bridge, just past the sawmill. It is from noon until 3:00 pm. The event is free (donations accepted). There will be games, pony rides, and trick-or-treating at some of the village houses. Children will be given tickets for hotdogs, chips and a drink. Last year some 300 children attended!

Well, I went to Batsto Halloween thing and my little guy had a great time!! I did also. It was great to see the whole thing run on donations (with absolutely zero pressure), something you don't see enough of these days. The volunteers were mostly teenage or pre-teen girls and a few boys. They did a terrific job.

My daughter's science teacher is involved in, and works the event. One of the ways for a little extra credit was to come help. Kinda cool. That could have been a couple of your volunteers. My daughter had a church commitment however and could not make it. Glad to see yourself and the family had a good time. You had a fine weather day for it.

Jeff,

Glad to see "Fast Car Racer" Jack had a good time :) I actually stopped in to see if it was on so I could get a chance to see you and Jack. But it was not the right time so we headed on. The parking lot was full of cars though.

Yeah George, the weather really did turn out great. I think that's great that they offered extra credit for the volunteers, they were very upbeat and they seemed to be having quite a bit of fun themselves.

Sorry I missed you Guy, we parked on the Pleasant mills side and avoided the extra walk.
