The 12th Annual Delaware Bay Days Festival, which celebrates the rich maritime history, vibrant culture, and phenomenal natural resources of the Delaware Bay, will be two-day event this year. It will be held in the historic Cumberland County bayside shore villages of Bivalve, Port Norris, and East Point Lighthouse in Heislersville. Bay Days 2004 is scheduled for Saturday, June 5 from 11:00 AM to 11:00PM and Sunday, June 6 from 11:00 AM to 4:00PM.
"Anyone who has ever attended Bay Day knows that there is never enough time to experience all of the exciting entertainment and events in one day," said Jeanne Covert, Communications Director of the Bayshore Discovery Project. "With this in mind, we are very excited to be able to expand the festival to two days this year. We hope everyone will come out and join us for the celebration."

Bay Days in 2004 will feature a variety of multi-ethic entertainment and food, children's activities and games, artist and craftsmen, fresh seafood, photo exhibits, living history presentations, guided river tours, wetland walks, and oyster shucking contest, Bluecrab races, a street and lighted boat parade, fireworks, and tours of New Jersey’s official Tall Ship the A.J. Meerwald.

“Once again, the County’s rich maritime heritage will be on display along the Delaware Bay and Maurice River,†said Pamela Weintraub, Coordinator of Cultural Affairs. “Bay day is a wonderful event for the whole family that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the tri-state region. Families return year after year to enjoy he calming scenery of the river and the bay which is indeed breathtaking.â€Â
