Beaver garden and turtle

I am wondering if someone can id this turtle. I helped him cross the road. Tried Google images but could not seem to find what is probably an easy id for some here.

Edit: I forgot to mention that when I emerged from the forest and walked out onto the lake, a Bald Eagle took off from the pine tree. That has happened a number of times recently.

I saw the picture of Redbellied Cooter but I do not think it lives in NJ. I found a pic of Redbelly Turtle that matches, and and the 11" to 15" size seems correct. It is the largest basking turtle in our area.

I should have said Pseudemys rubriventris which is the red belly. Pseudemys is the genus which are known as cooters.

You're right. The DEP for some reason just called it Redbelly Turtle.
