I was just watching the 10 o'clock news and they found a body in a shallow grave along route 72 in woodland twp. The story was brief but from the footage they showed New Lisbon Center and then the woods across the street where the trees where cleared near the fire tower. It is kind of freaky 'cause yesterday I was right there. I must have ridden past it 4 times yesterday. It was FOX News.

LEBANON LAKES, N.J. -- A body has been found buried in a South Jersey forest.

Authorities said that the body was discovered in the Brendan Byrne State Forest near Route 70 and Washington Boulevard in Woodland Township.

Police said that the body was found under some debris. They said the body was so decomposed they still have not determined if it is male or female.

The Burlington County medical examiner is scheduled to perform an autopsy on Tuesday.

I can't find Washington Blvd on any map so far.

I can find out tomorrow more on this from a man I work with. If nobody finds anything else I will post back then if I come up with something.

Figures, I was planning on taking the gf to Lake Success in Colliers Mills for some fishing and sightseeing on her day off this week. Hopefully she misses this news story somehow...lol

I was basing the location off of what footage I saw on the news. Strange they said route 72. I guess time will tell of the exact location. I live right there, I can probably look for police crossing tape. I will do that on my way into work today.

Yeah, it's just bizarre that they would just vanish like that. No sign of the Pickup Truck, no cell phone use, credit cards inactive...it's just far out.
Maybe they will get some kind of resolution if it is in fact tied in. We were at Harrisville on the hike with Ben last year when The rangers and state police were responding to the anonymous letter saying they were buried out there.

I remember you mentioning that one of them was you co-worker. If they find one then the other is out there or they were the problem. Sad!

they just mentioned it was a women about 5 foot 4 inches tall they also found an article of clothes close to the area, does that sound fimilular pbx guys ?
it seems to be back by reeves bogs (mcdonald) where a dam was washed out. i frequently hike past that washed out area with the OCSJ

I took a quick drive before work across the street. The only thing I saw was a truck parked by a washed out damn I know of, but I will be surprised if that is the damn they are referring to. I can't imagine why it would need to be repaired. That damn has been washed out for a long time. I have fished there quite a bit this year and I didn't notice anything. It is probably a different spot. I saw the truck through the trees but i didn't drive up there 'cause I didn't want to be a jerk. I will look more tomorrow when I have a little time.
