Body found in Mullica river

If the gender can't be determined it's been there more then a little while.I believe when a person drowns they sink.And then depending on temperature of the water and how fast the bacteria do their work a few days later or even a couple weeks it comes back up from gas created by the bacteria trapped inside of the body cavity.Then of course once the gas is released down it goes again for good. I wonder if this was in fresh water above Pleasant Mills or tidal below? Hardly a place deep enough to drown above 542.

The map on action news looked like it was around the Mullica river camp. If you go to there site thy have a short video with a map.

I may be wrong but I believe that map is just showing you where the Mullica river is. It may not be pointing to the location where it was found. That was much further towards Green Bank I believe.

According to the info from the SP, the body was found by fishermen near Hog Island, roughly about a mile downstream from where the missing persons car was found. That area of the river is tidal and has the rivers current as well. The water temp is in the high 40's.

The SJ Times today also reported the body was found near Hog Island.
