I haven't seen this mentioned here.

Last Saturday , 12/14, hunters came across a body about thirty yards into the woods off Pasadena Road, a mile or so north of the Brick Factory. Word is it was a black male who had been there for at least a few weeks, and three shells were found at the scene. Police were knocking on doors looking for camera footage, so must have some idea of when it happened.

It must be someone from out of the area or there most likely would have been a missing person report. It should be interesting if we learn more.

Weird... an Indian guy in New York is murdered by four Indian guys from Indiana, then dumped in Greenwood?

(FWIW, when I first clicked that link, an ad blocked the whole page and couldn't be closed. But it went away after a little while)

Some of my cultural musings, since it is not every day that you here about Indians murdering each other..

Three of the (alleged) killers had the surname Singh. I've reviewed a lot of municipal site plans for fueling stations over the years where the applicants had that surname. At first, I mistakenly thought several of the applicant's named Singh for stations in two adjoining municipalities were related to each other. When I asked one of them in casual conversation if they were related, he explained the Sikh tradition to me regarding males taking on the surname Singh, and Sikh women taking on the surname Kaur. Singh translates to lion and Kaur translates to princess or lioness.

The Sikh religion is generally based on peaceful tenets and respect but one unusual fact is that males are required to carry a dagger, known as a Kirpan, at all times. Federal and State governments have a myriad of laws regulating Kirpans. So, I suppose if their guns failed to fire in this murder, they could have used their Kirpans.

Follow me for more cultural musings! :)
