Some shots from the past week, still not much autumn color happening. Looking for some cold nights to turn the leaves. While taking the sunset shot I saw a wake in the water that looked like a Virginia class submarine coming towards me. The biggest beaver I've ever seen surfaced, giving me the evil eye, came within 15 feet then did a sideflip with tail slap. I almost lost my nerve, and kept looking behind me in the reservoir for a sneak attack.

For some reason, I thought of you when I read this ;)
I cannot read the article, but I am sure you are implying that it is only my field preparation, quick thinking, and razor sharp reflexes that have prevented mauling from the vicious bog beaver.
