I visited some bogs on Saturday that Bob had suggested I try fishing. Not much luck fishing but further attempts will be needed to fully explore the fishing potential of the area. Beautiful area. While back there I met a guy and engaged in some converstion. He expressed an impressive fondness for the bogs and especially for the fact that they see few visitors. In respect for him I will not disclose the exact location of the bogs but I will say they are more hidden than remote. Hope you enjoy the photos, I will be returning there soon!

Let us know how the fishing goes, I am going through fishing withdrawal, I can't wait to get out. I do freshwater and salt, I've pulled some decent Pickerel out of Oswego lake and Absegami. I always catch and release, unless it's a doormat size Flounder on the bay of course. :words:

I know about that fishing withdraw thing! I had some luck last week on that warm day. A warm day in Winter tends to sometimes be a feeding frenzy but not aways.

No, he was a younger guy, early 20's. Yes that farm house is in the area, the state put up no trespassing signs on it, there were other structures also.

I've been having the same withdraw thoughts, dreaming of Batsto lake. Of course, there are NO FISH in Batsto Lake, so no one should fish there !
