If you want the same kind of pants, go to Cabelas and buy the Wrangler brush pants! :)

Instead of the pants, I use a pair of Cabela's chaps when hunting. Cheaper, work better as they cover all of your leg, not just the front and the ticks and chiggers are less of a problem in the truck.

Filson. The only pants for brush. Get the cuffs trimmed with leather.

I am on my 3rd pair in the course of 25 years and my son still wears what's left of my first pair.
I wear the Mod. No. 32 vest all the time on PBX hikes. It's bulletproof and has 10 pockets, which eliminates the need for a backpack.

It will easily last two lifetimes. Got mine on ebay many years ago for a hundred.

That is a nice vest. It gives you some good upper protection with out the bulk of a backpack. I would like to get a pair of those pants.

Karl is right, its an individual thing. I rarely wear anything other than Lacrosse 18" in the pines:

Above 45 degrees.........Lacrosse uninsulated (Grange).
Below........................Lacrosse insulated (AlphaBurly).

When I hike more mountainous terrain in NJ, NY, PA, I wear my Meindl's. A real quality boot. Make sure you get gore tex. Trekkers are great boots. I wear these in the pines sometimes when the chiggers are gone and I want to do serious upland scrambling. I have an insulated and an uninsulated pair.
