boydsmaps online connectivity problems

https://online.boydsmaps.com/ and https://lidar.boydsmaps.com/ have both been down since about 5:30 AM this morning. Tech support has been notified. Also, the downloadable maps at https://boydsmaps.com are currently unavailable and in fact, when I go to that address I get a warning about the security certificate and am sent to the website of some chiropractor!

However, this site is on a different server which the hosting company is in the process of moving, so I assume (hope!) that is the problem. Tech support has also been notified about this.

It appears that all these problems are related to the web hosting company mis-configuring boydsmaps.com when they migrated the site to a new server. I have a support ticket open and am working with them to fix things, but currently the same problems still exist.

The hosting company says that moving all the map files at boydsmaps.com may take a little while, so unfortunately that site still takes you to some chiropractor's website. Don't think I can do anything about this myself

However, I was able to "get under the hood" myself and fixed the other DNS issues, so https://online.boydsmaps.com/ and https://lidar.boydsmaps.com/ are both working again. If they don't work for you, try reloading the page. It might take a little time for the new DNS entries to propogate across the internet, but they should start working for everyone soon.

After seeing these problems, I have decided to move boydsmaps.com to my new (fast) server so that everything will be "under the same roof" in the future. Will post an update on this when the move date has been finalized.

The site move has been scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, September 25). Hopefully there will be minimal impact, but there's the potenial for disruption of all my sites due to the way the web addresses are configured. Will update this thread when the move is complete. This change will make access to the downloadable maps at https://boydsmaps.com much faster and increase the reliability of all my sites, since everything will now be hosted on the same, fast cloud server.

Support informs me that the site migration is now in progress, but could take awhile due to the large amount of data. Everything is still working as usual and you should just be taken to the old site until we make the switch after all the data has been transferred.
