Use this thread to report connectivity or other problems with the app or site. I will also post updates here on any site maintenance or upgrades.

Note: To keep this thread short, most problem reports will be deleted after they are resolved.

FYI: Upload currently in progress for 74gb of USGS/NAIP aerial imagery covering the mid-Atlantic region. In addition to the boydsmaps app, it will be used with the new 3d terrain viewer, which should be ready by the end of the week.

You may notice slow site performance this afternoon/evening as the new imagery is being installed.

Boyd, have you noticed this issue with the waypoints? When I upload a file and look at them, they all seem fine. But when I drag the map around with my mouse, the map moves, but the waypoints seem to stay fixed (or vice versa, it's hard to tell). This could lead to confusion. In the below, the waypoint circled moved as shown in the second graphic when I dragged the map to my left. I thought; maybe I have to save the file on his site, but I can't see how to do that.

No, I have not seen that problem. What happens when you re-load the page? Do they go back to the correct place? Also, do you have more than one window or tab open on the site at the same time?

I had closed it, and so just brought it back up as the only window in explorer. This time they are not drifting. I'll keep my eye on it. If they drift, I'll shutdown and reload it.

If you are working with waypoints, don't open more than one tab/window in Edge. There is only one waypoint database, and if you access from separate tabs at the same time, it's likely it will be corrupted since both tabs will "compete" with each other for a single data file.

Have begun unpacking the USGS/NAIP map on the server

This new map is online now. Nothing too exciting, it's a local copy of the USGS aerials. I needed a fast-loading local set of regional aerials to use with the new 3d viewer, but they may also be generally useful in conjuction with the other USGS maps so I have put them in that group at the top of the menu.

This is the coverage area. USGS only offers them up to level 16 (about 8 feet per pixel), so they are not going to show a lot of detail, especially since they were taken with leaves on the trees (it's from the agriculture dept, so they want to show crops and tree canopy).

Now, back to work on the new terrain viewer. Should be ready in another day or two. :)
