Broken graves at Pleasant Mills

I don't know if anyone has been there of late, but there seemed to be an absurd number of knocked over and broken tombstones at Pleasant Mills Cementary today. I'll readily admit that I can be loud and obnoxious, and that I have done some stupid things in my life, but who desecrates graveyards? There were too many for it to have been an accident. It looked like someone even tried to pop open a crypt!

Vandals Desecrate Graves at Pleasant Mills Church

Fifty-one grave stones were toppled on the night of January 25th or 26th. This burial ground is one of the most historic. The oldest marker is dated 1732. Other thefts are mentioned for this cemetery.

people that have no respect for the deceased,their graves,their headstones,have definitely no respect for their fellow human beings,where i live,there is a cemetary two blocks away that have been vandalized numerous times,they just missed the marble headstone where my parents lie,but for the other people,whom some i know,the anguish still goes on to this day about the vandalized,broken,overturned headstones,i console them every time i see them.what a shame!!!!!!

That graveyard is sacred to me, hwoever strange that might sound. My grandfather's grave is there overlooking the Nescochague and I've spent many hours there in quite contemplation. The day I catch someone vandalizing that place is the day I go to jail. Y'all will bail me out, right?
