Buzzard Hill Road Accident (Pakim Pond area)

Wow, that's awful. It's hard to look at the picture of the girl who died holding her baby. I have seen guys on those bikes go flying so fast down a fire line I can't even tell what color clothes they're wearing. Whenever I see somebody zip by me on a bike in the woods, I always think to myself , "Man, what happens if you hit a tree going that fast?"

It wasn't that kind of bike OC. It was a Yamaha R-1 street racing bike capable of 170 mph and 10 second quarter miles. Most people call these bikes crotch rockets.
I have always thought of their riders as future organ donors.

I work at a large medical practice, and the Docs always give me a hard time about riding motorcycles (dirt and street) and they always refer to motorcycles as donor cycles. This is a terrible tragedy and never should have happened.

Holy cow, 170mph on a motorcycle! When gas shot up to $4 a gallon in 2008, I seriously thought about buying a bike. Then the following week there were two separate motorcycle accidents, one of which I witnessed. Both riders were struck by cars and killed, and they weren't doing anything wrong. That changed my mind.
