Last week's adventure in the Pines brought more chiggers. :( My poor feet and ankles!

I have found that sleeping with my shoes on stops the itching for some crazy reason.

Chiggers are the miniscule spawn of Satan, I am convinced.

John, John, leprachaun, went to school with nothing on.
Teacher said, that's not fair, give him back his underwear!

Oops, wrong one...

Diddle diddle dumpling my son John
Went to bed with his stockings on
One stocking on, one stocking off,
Diddle diddle dumpling my son John.

He must have had chiggers, too, huh?

Stizkidz-did ya get to order that bulletin? The article is fantastic.

I got them from Aserdaten, even though I thought I didn't. I think I've gotten them a few more times since. My remedy is to forget about them and scratch minimally.

Yeah, I thought that the Army boots that I trod around in now would have been good enough.

What we need to do is get a few barrels of that really safe and underappreciated chemical DDT and lace the woods with it. That'd get rid of all those pesky critters!!!

(just kidding)

Well I'm sitting here at the computer desk with my shoes and socks off, with one foot up on my other leg. It's dark except for my desk lamp. From the light of that lamp I see nearly-microscopic, walking dust particles on my legs, way down where my socks were. Is that chiggers? I can't believe how tiny they are! They are smaller than the smallest deer ticks I've had. Darn. Here we go again. I guess I am getting them. Oh well. I just have to deal with it.

Get in the shower and scrub down with a washcloth and soap, right now!

Shame on you boy!
