Child Carrier/backpack

Suggestion for all of you new fathers, get a backpack child carrier. It will allow you more time in the woods. I purchased one from Ebay and recently took my 2 year old son on a 4 mile hike on the Batsto white and blue trail. He loved it and keeps asking to go again. I actually saw my first lizard in the pines running up a tree as we approached. My son must have slept the last hour of the hike.

That's a good idea. I've taken my 2 and a half year old son on a few short hikes and he's ok walking for about a mile. The backpack would come in handy from that point. He's a big kid so it would also be quite a workout!
