popping up for the past week or so, have been finding their bodies and wings, not many but enough to notice. Brood X perhaps. Maybe the heat?

Is that what this huge, ugly fellow is? He was an uninvited guest at the dinner table on the porch a couple days ago. Looks like his "paws" are covered with pollen.

Awesome site 46er ! We had the 17 year cicadas emerge at my house when I was in my teens. They were distributed around the base of gray birch. One of the most amazing natural phenomena I have witnessed. Everyone was taking their shed skins and hanging them on their shirts. :)
