PS: that is the road just north of the range in the pine plains, and the express is heading away from 539, which is about 50 yards behind the photographer?

Great work identifying the road.

Actually it is a really nice road to walk. I like the moats that are at each end seeks to keep the inexperienced pine barren explorers out.
