A few pictures from this morning, they pretty much tell the story here in interior Atlantic County:

I live on the edge of a swamp so radiational cooling is more locally pronounced than in some surrounding areas, much like the bogs see. This is the first frost, and in some cases a freeze since May 19th. At thermometer level I recorded a low of 34.5, however at some surfaces it was much lower than that.

It was 35 at my house when I left for work at 5:30. I love fall. Cool crisp mornings, mild afternoons, color in the trees.Makes you feel alive.

I doubt it. I suspect that was isolated. Even though I have to say the ferns along the roads we drove on Saturday were all brown.

Yup, it was isolated. I talked to a friend of mine over in Laureldale (just a few miles away, in a similar location) who said it didn't frost or even freeze there. This event was far from being widespread, there were however those few locations, like mine, and im sure several in the bogs and swamps that saw a freeze. (Remember the pictures last winter, where the PBX crew ventured into a snowcovered bog, while the rest of the area was bare- same effect).

Thanks for the comments everybody.
