More importantly, I had heard a while back there was a push to have the southern end of Carranza Road repaired and this article discusses that. I am assuming it is just the pot hole section near the start of Wharton to the RR tracks.

The bad part of Carranza Rd is not in Wharton but rather here. It is so bad we drive down the opposite side of the road to avoid it. They were filling holes last week but it just makes it bumpy. There are fresh survey marks on the street this week.

I wish something would happen to open the road back up. I use it frequently to visit family. I noticed something recently that is bothersome, but may be an optical illusion. When I approach the hall from the east, it looks like the far end is leaning a bit toward the road. Just shore it up with timbers, and let's roll.

We went through Tabernacle on our way home today and a man was removing all of the signs and the road is no longer blocked. I guess it needed to be done before school started.
