I didn't get notification by email about Bass River. Some days I do and others I don't.

They are also burning in Greenwood today all along the county line near Bullock and Old Half Way. It looks like they are doing the rye fields scattered throughout.

Did they just burn that small section? The FFS website only showed one red marker.

We visited there today John. Some places burned really well and others not so much. Much of it is wet so it is still thick. We have three Wharton property corners to look for out there but decided to hold off for a week or so.

Chew road by that one pond had water flowing across the road this morning.

Yea the Clark Branch runs straight through that section. There is a lot of area in there especially now. It looked like the drier areas were burning well on Friday.

Anyone know if DEP or private landowners conduct many growing season prescibed burns in the pinelands?
