The other morning we found these tracks on Hampton Road. I had been looking at ATV and 4 wheel tracks and the first thing I thought of was how similar they were. It reminded me of a tracked vehicle but they were around 10 to 12 inches wide. I believe they were made by a snapping turtle, they had very pronounced claw marks and continued for several hundred feet. It knew where it was going. I am always amazed at how human invention mimics nature.
