They have done a very nice job on it so far. It gets very light use though. We use it every once in a while and see very few folks. It will be even better when the entire trail is completed, all 15 1/2 miles of it. And then perhaps 7 existing plans will go forward using the other existing right-of-ways to connect to it. That would be very nice.

Many years ago I read an article (maybe in popular mechanics?) about building a rail bike that could travel down abandoned rail beds using one of the rails. Has anyone seen this?

I ride my bike and walk on the Barnegat Branch Trail a few times a year. I would like to see it extended to Tom's River. It is a good use of old RR beds.
