I have just inherited an old mug from my father. Part of the mug is made with red tinted glass (cranberry?) and has the following writing on it: Adrian Folcher 1871. (my great, great grandfather). My aunt tells me that Adrian Folcher was friends with Louis Renault and the mug was made when Renault, Folcher, and another Frenchman returned to visit France. Adrian was a french chef in Philadelphia and we all know who Louis Renault was. I am doing some research to see if this story could be legitimate. Does anyone have any old books that have any information about Renault when he first came over to America.
