A three-alarm fire tore through a single-family house in the Green Bank section of Washington early Wednesday, virtually destroying the structure.
The residents were believed to be visiting relatives in Arizona and no one was home at the time of the blaze, fire officials said.
There were no reported injuries.
The fire sparked about 4 a.m. on the 1100 block of Route 542 and took crews about an hour to bring under control.
Firefighters had to return to the site about 3 p.m. to extinguish a small portion that had rekindled.
The house is believed to be a total loss, according to fire officials.
The cause remained under investigation Wednesday but is believed to be electrical in origin, officials said
