In the 35 years I have been visiting Crowberry I have never viewed it blooming until last Saturday. Then again it wasn't until a few years ago that I even knew what it was.

No doubt I passed by the crowberry for years. I only became interested and knowledgeable since i saw the area being cleared and volunteered with the East Plains Natural Area.

Not easy to photograph since they are so small. Also don't really look like much.

At this time acres of it is being located there as the pines and oaks are cleared.
