A small stretch of muddy water was boiling with small fish near Hampton Road but it was so muddy you couldn't see the fish. That is where I found the dead Banded Sunfish.
I was there today at deep run/hampton road. Spoke with a nice couple from the area and they were concerned with the lack of rain. They were doing their part to move some of the sunfish to deep spots. I dumped 30 gallons with buckets from the lake and it allowed some of the fish to get towards the culvert that is a bit deeper. There was quite alot of dead pickerel. The sunfish were hanging in but given forecast we won’t be seen rain until November at earliest.
The water is starting to fill up but there still is work to be done by Mother Nature!
I'm still wondering what you and Scott mean, about those wood and sticks 'directing water to the culvert'. If you'd elaborate, I'd be interested in how that's done.
