Deer Fly Repellent Strips. Crazy or Genius?

I'm thinking about buying enough of these to cover my body, but I'm afraid if I go hiking in a swampy area I'll have so many deer flies attached to me, if I fall down I won't be able to stand back up!

I'd use them to mow the lawn. I did not know about them. I bought "tanglefoot" last year, to see if I could keep them down. Have yet to use it. Last year was a good year.

I used one of these for the black flies at our cabin in the north woods. A few always got thru, but it worked well. Probably work better on the bigger blood suckers. But the briars will probably tear it apart and you will still hear their buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
