I though I would share this with you all.
A relative of my wife now lives in Texas and is a Sheriff there. A deer had been hit by a car and it's 1 day old fawn was uninjured.
The white thing around it's neck is a collar.

He took it to a "retreat" which I assume is a place where they take care of injured or abandoned animals, and here was his next photo to me.
