What a burden we put on ourselves when we try to outdo nature, whether it be beach restoration, dredging, building levees or otherwise imprisoning our rivers. Yes, I'm a radical. :)

I made a quick stop at Palmyra Cove yesterday to check it out. The area that I once called "The dessert" is now piled high with dredge. I thought it would stink but there was no discernible oder. Also it looked like top soil but I did not get very close to it.

A little off the beat but I just got back from a Riversharks game (they lost horribly but the eve' was wonderful). The work done on the riverfront continues to pay off. The river was a picture, the bridge by far my favorite... a postcard, and the Philly skyline attractive. Many watercraft were enjoying the river. It was nice. Aside from the commercial concept I think sometimes people forget the other wonders of this magnificent river. Sad.
