Delaware River Ice

It's not Pine Barrens but it's close and it is interesting. Ro took some pix 2 days ago.
Pix are of the Delaware River at Washington Crossing from PA side, from NJ side, upriver from NJ side, and at Titusville, NJ.
Massive, many feet high ice jam at Trenton falls - couldn't find a spot to take photo.

The river is frozen completely over by the bridges and the ice is thicker than I am tall in spots...over six feet!

I vividly recall my first ice breakup. Relaxing in my riverside cabin, when things started to shake and there was a loud explosion like noise. Looked out the sliders and could see the river beginning to move. Headed down toward it and it was the most amazing site. Then the jams started downstream, flooded a couple of towns, they had to use dynamite to break them up, but they jammed up again and kept it up until the river cleared enough. I would imagine their will be some flooding if it jams around the bridges over the Delaware.
