hello, im Zach I've lived in Dorothy all my life, and have recently became very intrested in the history that is all around me lol. Considering the fact i'm still young, and im learning something new all the time about the history of the pine barrens. But anyways I've been searching for history for Dorothy located in Weymouth Township. And I really can not find much history to my town, I know there must be tons, but I just cant seem to find any, Ive searched the internet, read a few books, but not much comes up. I go hiking and horse back riding all the time, all over my town and always find something intresting. But I would like to read up on some history on Dorothy, does anyone here know about Dorothy or know where I can locate a book or documents about Dorothy?

yes i read most of what that site had to offer but they generally talking about the basic history of Weymouth Twp. Im looking for history on just Dorothy more detalied to. But thank you
It used to be known as the "Atlantic County Historical Society," but ever since a retired "Atlantic County Executive" got his "hooks" into it, they've been "shelling--out" big bucks trying to make it into something it "ain't."
If you decide to go that route, call them first to find out when June Sherridan will be there. You would want to speak with her. She was/is (?) the librarian, and she is without doubt the most knowledgeable person there...
