DEP TO ANNOUNCE ADDITION TO DOUBLE TROUBLE PARK - OCT 9

Trenton - The Department of Environmental Protection and the
Coalition for Conservation on Thursday, Oct. 9, will announce the
addition of hundreds of acres to Double Trouble State Park in Ocean
County. Coalition members also will discuss a public question on the
Nov. 4 ballot that would provide an additional $150 million for open
space preservation and community park projects.

The announcement begins at 3 p.m. Thursday off Route 530 in Berkeley
Township. Tours of the property will be offered at 2:30 p.m. and again
following the announcement.

Photographers note: Property includes active cranberry bogs, cedar
swamps and several lakes inhabited by wading birds.

Directions: From Trenton, drive east on I-195 to the Garden State
Parkway south. Follow Parkway south to Exit 80, Route 530 (Beachwood,
South Tom's River). Bear right off ramp following signs to Route 530.
At light turn left onto Rt. 530 west. Pass Luigi's Market and Deli on
left. Continue 0.5 mile to property entrance on left. Look for Green
Acres sign. Enter driveway. Stay to right. Follow signs to parking.
