I am glad that you went through with it. Keeping it simple is the way to go and now more than likely there will be something on that you want to watch. A plus is your not paying for all of those late night infomercials.

Well Its done. I just have Fios internet. Will cost me 49.95 for 15/5 Mbps speed plan. Thanks for all the comments.;) Also got the Antenna up on the roof. Not bad Has what I need channel wise.

Do you still have your home phone? We received two rebate checks from Verizon already and it is almost half of what I paid for the $100 cell phone card. We are saving some money since our phone rarely rings. I am going to get my mom to start using Facetime so I can talk to her for a while and not use up the cell time.

i'd like to drop my land line phone service but I don't get cell reception in my house. Also, my home phone is my business line and I have like 2000 business cards with that # on it.

It won't solve the business card issue, but you could see if your cell provider offers a "femtocell" device. They're sort of like a wifi hot spot, but create a personal cellular zone in your home and route your calls via the internet. It's seamless - you receive and place calls and text messages as you normally would.

I have an AT&T Microcell, which Cisco makes. It is initially configured to only recognize your phone, but you can add other numbers using their website. I've heard that if your contract is up and you threaten to cancel due to lack of a signal, they may give you one of these. I had to buy mine but it was worth it to finally be able to use my cellphone at home.

Bobpbx should look into that.
