Ebay Picture Pine Barrens 1969 NJ?

While looking for NJ pine barrens books on eBay, I came across this picture and thought that maybe it was taken at some location in our own pine barrens and if so, maybe recognizable. A nice local gathering of pine folks, I thought, even if not our own.

I just don't have a clue. They do sort of look like pineys, but then again, they could be from New Brunswick!

Ahh, the days when kids were allowed in bars; brings back memories. There are pine barrens outside of NJ, Long Island also has such an area.

I was fortunate enough to grow up near your beloved pinelands of NJ and live within striking distance of the Long Island pines an adult. The Long Island pine forest is wonderful. If any of you can ever explore/canoe the upper Peconic River area, I highly recommend it. Just point yourself towards the area between Manorhaven and Riverhead and enjoy.
