I don't quite understand why anyoner would be suprised. It's Corzine werte talking about. I'd put him up there with Hitler, and whilee were at it we can throw Obama in the same group.

As shocked as I may have been upon first reading this, I had the smallest amount of hope for Ms. Mooij, considering her history with NJ Audubon. I thought if anything could be taken as positive, it would be that she'd offset, albeit slightly, the nonsensical choice of this Laurenti chap. That wee bit flew out the window when I found out she had declined the appointment. This guy, as far as I know, has no connection to the Pine Barrens. I just don't see where his interests could be.

I defended the governor on this site when he was first elected. I now dutifully stand up and hereby affirm that I was wrong. I soften that a bit; I was duped.

He was not bold enough in his decisions and he had no real vision to get us out of this mess we are in. I am not sorry to see him go, though I lean Democratic in most issues.

We told you that from the beginning. In my opinion one should NEVER vote party, they should vote the person.

In the past, I have been more likely to vote along party lines for legislators than for executive positions, unless the legislator in question was a real stinker. The problem with voting for individuals rather than voting party in the case of legislators is that an individual has little power by himself. Only when part of a majority can an idea or agenda move forward. My own problem as of late is that I do not feel either party fully represents my views. I’m too green for the right and too well-armed for the left.

I groan at this... Politics & Religion....
But I honestly have to say , like Bob, leaning to the...
I myself voted for a man I thought would do the job. I was wrong.
I will stay the course on my party and perhaps even remain somewhat liberal, but I've learned a lesson.
Jerseyman... you're approach is not so absurd. I think it is the best way for voters to send a message. I also believe that it is terribly unfortunate.
We take the incumbent out to bring in....?

Could not agree more. It will take each voter to use common sense, get involved in the sense we have to spend more time reviewing a candidate and making a selection on their past actvities and experience. I'm sure we all can spot a slick talker, and their are many in DC, starting in the Whitehouse on down. That man was right, we need change, but not just in whom we elect. The election process needs a bit of an overhaul as well.
